Tarja Tyni to Retire from Mandatum, Lasse Alvesalo Appointed to Group Management
Mandatum plc announced that Tarja Tyni, Executive Vice President of Corporate Clients, will retire from her executive role on January 1, 2027. Lasse Alvesalo has been appointed as her successor and to the Group Management Team.
Mandatum plc announced changes to its Group Management Team on Thursday, September 14, 2026. Tarja Tyni, Executive Vice President responsible for Corporate Clients, has decided to retire from her executive position effective January 1, 2027.
Following Tyni's retirement, Lasse Alvesalo has been appointed as the new Executive Vice President of Corporate Clients and a member of the Group Management Team. Alvesalo, currently Vice President of Corporate Clients, will assume his new role on January 1, 2027.
Alvesalo has been with Mandatum since 2004 and will report directly to Group CEO Petri Niemisvirta. This appointment is part of the company's succession planning for its corporate client division.
