Taylor Guitars Adds Hawaiian Koa to Legacy Collection With Two Limited Models
Taylor Guitars is introducing two limited-edition guitars crafted from Hawaiian koa wood into its Legacy Collection. Only 52 units of each model will be produced, honoring the company's 52nd year.

EL CAJON, Calif. – Taylor Guitars has announced the release of two new limited-edition models for its Legacy Collection, featuring Hawaiian koa. The Legacy K65e LTD 12-String Jumbo and the Custom Legacy K10 LTD Dreadnought are both crafted with the prized tonewood, marking the first time Koa has been featured in the Legacy line.
Each of these new models is limited to a production run of 52 instruments, a number chosen to reflect Taylor's 52nd year in business. The guitars include a Legacy back label hand-signed by co-founders Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug.
The Legacy Collection, originally launched in 2024 to celebrate Taylor's 50th anniversary, draws inspiration from Bob Taylor's classic designs and utilizes his signature X-bracing. The Legacy K65e LTD model pays homage to the early 12-string guitars that helped establish the company's reputation.
The Custom Legacy K10 LTD offers a contemporary take on the classic Dreadnought, featuring a deeper, tapered body profile and a shorter 24-7/8-inch scale length. The combination of koa and an Engelmann spruce top is designed to produce a rich midrange with koa's characteristic top-end sparkle, enhanced by a revoiced bracing pattern.
