TCL Inaugurates Industrial Museum to Mark 45 Years of Operation
TCL has opened an industrial museum in Huizhou, China, to commemorate its 45th anniversary. The museum chronicles the company's history and technological advancements since its founding in 1981.
TCL celebrated its 45th anniversary by inaugurating the TCL Industrial Museum in Huizhou, China, the city where the company was founded in 1981. The museum is built on the former site of TTK, TCL's predecessor, and documents the company's evolution alongside China's electronics industry.
The museum spans over 9,000 square meters of exhibition space, housing more than 3,000 artifacts across six halls and a central atrium. The collection highlights key technological milestones, including China's first television set and TCL CSOT's 2024 printed OLED 4K display, alongside over 100 vintage televisions from around the world.
Li Dongsheng, TCL's Founder and Chairman, stated at the inauguration that the museum serves to preserve the company's journey and inspire its future. He emphasized the role of entrepreneurship, transformation, and innovation in TCL's growth.
The museum also details TCL's strategic shifts, notably the 2019 restructuring that created independent entities TCL Technology and TCL Industries. This move has reportedly driven significant growth, with TCL Technology's revenue tripling and TCL Industries' revenue more than doubling by 2025. TCL has also solidified its global standing, ranking second in TV shipment volume and TCL CSOT ranking second in TV panel market share. Furthermore, TCL Zhonghuan is recognized as the world's largest producer of solar-grade silicon crystals.
Looking ahead, TCL aims to lead in technology and pursue sustainable growth. The company continues to invest in R&D and global brand building, leveraging its role as a worldwide Olympic and Paralympic partner.
