TCL Introduces 5G AI CPE X5 Device

Vienna – Consumer electronics company TCL has launched its new 5G AI CPE X5 device at the Network X 2026 event. The device utilizes agent-based artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance home broadband network performance and management. Key features include natural language interaction, AI-driven network optimization, and proactive diagnostics.

The TCL X5 is designed for homes and small businesses seeking high-end broadband connectivity for activities such as remote work, gaming, and connecting smart home devices. The product was previously recognized as an IFA Innovation Award Honoree 2026.

The device's AI agent aims to interpret user intentions and translate them into network actions. For instance, users can request network optimization for gaming sessions, and the device will adjust settings accordingly based on network conditions. AI is also applied to improve both 5G cellular connectivity and indoor Wi-Fi signal.

Network management capabilities include continuous monitoring and automatic restoration for issues like congestion or module anomalies. The X5 also offers AI-based Quality of Service (QoS) for traffic prioritization and adaptive power management. TCL envisions the X5 as a broader AI hub for connected living, supporting multiple AI agents and local data processing.
