TCL launches ultra-thin Designer series TVs
TCL has launched its new Designer series of Google TV televisions, positioning them against Samsung's The Frame and targeting consumers who want TVs to blend with home decor.

Chinese technology company TCL has officially launched its Designer series of Google TV televisions. The new line aims to compete with Samsung's The Frame series by appealing to consumers seeking to integrate their displays seamlessly into home decor.
The series, first revealed at IFA 2026 in Berlin, features an ultra-thin profile of just 2.8 centimeters (1.1 inches), designed for close-to-wall mounting. The televisions include a built-in art gallery and a matte, anti-glare screen capable of displaying artwork when not in use.
Within the Designer series, there are two product lines: the A300L and the A400U. The A300L is the standard model, equipped with a 4K QLED panel and an ultra-matte screen. It features magnetically attachable, interchangeable bezels that users can customize to match their home's style. The A300L is available in 55, 65, and 75-inch sizes, with an 85-inch model planned for later.
The A400U model offers enhanced picture quality, utilizing 4K QD-Mini LED technology. This version provides higher contrast and deeper local dimming while maintaining the slim, wall-mounted design. The A400U comes in 55, 65, 75, and 85-inch screen sizes.
The Designer series televisions start at $899 in the United States.
