TCL Solar C2 back contact panels available for order in Europe
TCL SunPower Global has launched its C2 range of back contact solar panels in Europe. Initial deliveries are commencing in the UK.
TCL SunPower Global has announced that its C2 range of back contact solar modules is now available for order across Europe through its network of authorized distributors. The company has begun initial deliveries in the United Kingdom.
The C2 modules utilize back contact technology, which TCL states enhances efficiency and durability. The range includes the C2 S Black model for residential and small commercial rooftops, offering up to 495W of power and a 23.8% efficiency. For larger commercial and utility-scale projects, the C2 L and C2 L UPP models provide up to 670W and a 24.8% efficiency, with bifacial capabilities up to 85%.
The back contact design removes visible metallic busbars on the front of the panel, increasing the active cell area and boosting power output by over 5% compared to standard front contact panels. TCL reports a temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C and an annual degradation rate below 0.35%, aiming for approximately 88.85% of original power after 30 years.
These panels are designed for improved performance in low-light conditions and partial shading. Long-term warranties are included, with product guarantees up to 25 years and performance guarantees for 30 years, depending on the specific model.
In July, TCL SunPower Global acquired DAS Solar's back contact cell and module manufacturing operations to bolster its production capacity.
