Team PRONC Enters 2027 UIM E1 World Championship

Team PRONC has officially registered for the 2027 UIM E1 World Championship presented by PIF, marking the first all-electric boat racing competition globally. The entry was formalized at the Yacht Club de Monaco last weekend.

Founded by a group of Nigerian entrepreneurs and investors, including Rich Hospitality founders Cecil Hammond and Richie Shittu, along with Preye Berezi, Osahon Okunbo, and Ndy Oruche, the team intends to bring Nigerian energy, ambition, and cultural influence to an international stage. Team PRONC seeks to highlight the nation's culture, hospitality, and entrepreneurial spirit within a rapidly growing sport.

The team joins a championship supported by prominent athletes and entertainers such as LeBron James and Will Smith. Team PRONC's founders see the E1 series as a platform to integrate sports, entertainment, and social initiatives, aiming to create opportunities and inspire future innovators and athletes.

The PIF-presented UIM E1 World Championship combines international sport, advanced technology, and marine conservation. Races will be held in notable coastal locations including Lake Como, Monaco, Lagos, and Miami. The series also promotes gender equality by requiring both male and female pilots in each team, enhancing female participation in elite racing.

Team PRONC aims to build a globally recognized sports and lifestyle brand whose cultural impact extends beyond the racetrack. Co-founder Cecil Hammond stated, "Team PRONC showcases what can emerge when ambitious individuals unite around a shared vision."
