TechNode: PokeBot Secures Hundreds of Millions of Dollars in Pre-A Funding

Chinese embodied AI startup PokeBot has secured hundreds of millions of dollars in a Pre-A funding round, led by venture capital firms Shunwei Capital and Matrix Partners.

The company, which is only months old, is developing household robots capable of tasks such as folding clothes and cooking. PokeBot aims to bring robots to market that can handle complex domestic chores.

In a demonstration, one of its robots was shown autonomously cooking mapo tofu in nine minutes. This showcases the potential of embodied AI technology for home automation.

The successful funding round is expected to accelerate PokeBot's product development and expansion efforts. The company seeks to solidify its position in the rapidly growing market for household robotics and artificial intelligence.
