TECNO and Angélica Dass Launch "100 Portraits of Becoming" Archive
Mobile device manufacturer TECNO and photographer Angélica Dass have jointly launched "100 Portraits of Becoming". The archive presents 100 individuals' stories through individual portraits, highlighting human diversity.

Mobile device manufacturer TECNO and Brazilian photographer Angélica Dass have unveiled a new digital archive titled "100 Portraits of Becoming". The project aims to showcase humanity's diversity through one hundred individual portraits, each telling its own story.
According to the press release, the archive was created in response to the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in how people are represented. "100 Portraits of Becoming" seeks to offer an alternative perspective that emphasizes individuality and human potential.
Mobile technology plays a key role in the development of this digital archive. TECNO has contributed its technical expertise to ensure the images and stories are globally accessible. Dass is known for her earlier "Humanæ" project, where she photographed people based on their skin color to create a visual collection that promotes equality.
The "100 Portraits of Becoming" project continues Dass's work in media and culture, challenging traditional notions of human identity and representation in the digital age.
