Telecom Acquisitions Buys Earth Broadband Customer Base

Telecom Acquisitions Ltd (TAL) has acquired the customer base and brand of Earth Broadband, a UK-based provider of eco-friendly internet services, serving approximately 4,000 customers. TAL, which already serves over 70,000 customers, stated that it can absorb the new customer base without additional costs and will manage them under its Home Telecom brand.

TAL CEO Nigel Barnett indicated that the company intends to continue Earth Broadband's established environmental initiatives, including tree planting. Earth Broadband was founded three years ago by Luke Chapman with a focus on fibre deployment and environmental credentials, contributing to the planting of an estimated 100,000 trees.

According to Barnett, current customer terms, conditions, and pricing for Earth Broadband customers will remain unchanged or be enhanced. The customers are primarily connected to the PXC network, and no service disruptions are anticipated. TAL has a track record of successfully acquiring and integrating 13 customer bases.

TAL is re-engaging in the acquisition of new customer bases due to a competitive market where smaller entities face challenges in generating revenue for customer acquisition. The company noted that despite organic growth from its marketing model, it generated over 31,000 leads in July.
