Teledyne e2v Launches New Compact Computing Module for Qormino Family
Teledyne e2v has unveiled the QLS1046-4GB, an ultra-compact computing module integrating an NXP LS1046 Arm-based processor with 4GB DDR4 memory.

Teledyne e2v has introduced the QLS1046-4GB, adding to its Qormino family of computing modules. The new module features the NXP LS1046 Arm Cortex A72 processor, known for its power-efficient architecture and high compute density, coupled with 4GB of DDR4 memory.
The Qormino concept aims to reduce time-to-market for system designers by offering a compact, plug-and-play processor and memory solution. Teledyne e2v states that these modules can reduce printed circuit board (PCB) space requirements by up to 35 percent compared to traditional designs. The QLS1046-4GB is targeted at high-reliability applications, including aerospace and defense sectors.
"We are excited to see Teledyne e2v integrate the LS1046 into a new Qormino module," said Altaf Hussain, distribution marketing manager at NXP Semiconductors. The module utilizes advanced assembly techniques and IC design knowledge, and is qualified for operation across various temperature grades.
The QLS1046-4GB is scheduled for availability in Q4 2018. It follows the earlier release of the QT1040-4GB within the Qormino line. Teledyne e2v also offers a 15-year supply and pricing guarantee through its SLiM program, intended to benefit long-lifecycle projects.
