Telko reorganizes operations into two business units
Helsinki – Aspo Plc announced on May 7, 2026, that its subsidiary Telko has restructured its operations into two distinct business units, a move effective from May 1, 2026. This restructuring is part of Telko's ongoing strategy renewal.
The two new business units are Essential Solutions and Advanced Materials, replacing the previous four-unit structure. "Moving from four business units to two sharpens our focus, creates synergies, and enables a more comprehensive service to our customers," said Rolf Jansson, CEO of Telko. The company is also launching a performance improvement program.
Essential Solutions will serve large industrial clients with volume chemical distribution and mobility lubricant partnerships. Led by Rickard Andersson, this unit accounts for approximately one-third of Telko's net sales. It is focused on higher value-added services and operational excellence.
Advanced Materials will consolidate all specialty products, offering raw materials, additive solutions, and technical expertise for various industrial applications, including healthcare and packaging. Petteri Martikainen leads this unit, which represents about two-thirds of Telko's net sales. The company aims to achieve a leading position in its prioritized market segments through organic growth and acquisitions.
Aspo Plc is proceeding with its strategy to develop both Telko and ESL Shipping into standalone companies. The parent company targets either the divestment of ESL Shipping or a partial demerger of Aspo by the end of 2026. Telko's new operating model will not impact Aspo's financial reporting.
