Tencent Hy Translation App Launched
Tencent has launched its new Hy Translation app, supporting translation between 33 languages and offering multiple modes of use.
Tencent's Hy Translation app, built on the Hybird Hy-MT2 translation model, is now available. The service supports real-time translation between 33 languages and includes five Chinese minority languages and dialects.
The application offers various translation features, including voice and photo translation. An offline translation mode is also available, allowing users to download translation models in advance for stable use in areas with no or poor network connectivity.
The Hy Translation app has launched in 12 countries and regions, including the United States, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, and the Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan regions of China. It is accessible via a standalone app, a mini-program, and PC client.
Tencent's Hy-MT2 translation model, which the new app is based on, was open-sourced in May. The model has shown significant improvements over its predecessor in handling multilingual instructions, professional domain translation, and real-world application scenarios.
