Tencent releases HarmonyOS update for WeChat

Tencent has released the official 8.0.23.34 update for the HarmonyOS version of WeChat via Huawei’s App Gallery. The update brings functional changes aimed at improving user experience and system integration.

Key additions include improved system font response for Flutter-based pages, updated interface elements for ringtones and notifications, and the ability to copy contact details such as nicknames and WeChat IDs. A notable feature being expanded to more users is the ability to group and merge images when sending multiple files simultaneously.

The update also addresses technical issues reported by users, including latency when loading images. These changes represent ongoing efforts to maintain feature parity between the HarmonyOS iteration of the app and other mobile platforms.
