Tencent Reportedly in Talks to Acquire Mobile Game Studio SuperPlay for Up to $1.5 Billion
Chinese technology giant Tencent is reportedly in discussions to acquire mobile game studio SuperPlay for a deal valued between $1 billion and $1.5 billion, according to Israeli financial outlet Calcalist.

Chinese technology conglomerate Tencent is reportedly in talks to acquire SuperPlay, a mobile game studio owned by Playtika, in a potential deal worth as much as $1.5 billion, according to Israeli financial news outlet Calcalist.
Playtika originally acquired SuperPlay in 2024 for $690 million in cash, plus an additional earn-out payment of up to $1.25 billion contingent on the studio's financial performance between 2025 and 2027. Due to the studio's strong performance, Playtika's potential payout obligations have increased.
A significant contributor to SuperPlay's growth is its mobile card game, "Disney Solitaire," which industry estimates suggest generates approximately $300 million in annual revenue.
If the acquisition proceeds, it would mark a significant expansion for Tencent, already the world's largest video game vendor by revenue, into Playtika's portfolio of casual gaming assets.
