Tencent rolls out WeChat update for HarmonyOS
WeChat has released version 8.0.23.33 for HarmonyOS, addressing latency issues in image rendering and adding new content management features.
Tencent has released version 8.0.23.33 of the WeChat application specifically for Huawei's HarmonyOS. Available via the App Gallery, this update focuses on resolving persistent performance issues, specifically regarding delays when opening images within the app.
In addition to technical patches, the update introduces several interface adjustments and utility features. Key additions include improved responsiveness to system font settings in specific views, new content grouping options for sharing media, and updated management tools for service accounts and group chats. Functionality for copying user identifiers such as nicknames and WeChat IDs has also been expanded.
Several features, including the integration of the "Xiao Wei" AI assistant, are being deployed in phases to ensure stability. These changes reflect an ongoing effort to align the HarmonyOS version of the application with the feature set and performance standards of other mobile platform versions.
