Tencent Updates Honor of Kings Frame Rates for Select iPhone Models
Tencent has enabled 120Hz support for the iPhone Duo in Honor of Kings, though the iPhone Air remains unsupported in the domestic market.
Tencent has updated its mobile title, Honor of Kings, to support 120 frames per second (FPS) gameplay on the iPhone Duo. While users have confirmed the feature rollout, the update does not resolve existing display scaling issues that result in significant black bars when playing in full-screen mode on the device.
Despite the update for the Duo model, the iPhone Air—released in September 2025 as part of the iPhone 17 series—remains excluded from the high frame rate list for the Chinese version of the game. While other models in the iPhone 17 lineup received 120Hz support, the Air continues to lack this optimization for domestic players.
Notably, the disparity appears limited to regional software configurations. Users have reported that the iPhone Air is capable of running the international version of the game at 120 FPS, suggesting the current restriction is a result of localized software implementation rather than hardware performance limitations.
