Tencent Yuanbao integrates Hy3 model for free file creation
Tencent has upgraded its AI service Yuanbao to support its new Hy3 model, offering free document and file creation capabilities.
Chinese tech outlet IT Home reported on July 6 that Tencent has launched its new Hy3 AI model, integrating it into its Yuanbao service. This upgrade allows users to create files for free by leveraging the model's deep or fast thinking functionalities.
Yuanbao is now described as supporting information retrieval, content writing, and layout design, directly outputting files and visualized documents to users. The service also enables the creation of simple games through plain commands, eliminating the need for coding skills. Users can upload their data sheets and requirements for analysis and report generation.
Tencent officially released the Hy3 model following a preview version in late April. Development has focused on improving training data quality and scale, along with fixing identified issues. Hy3 aims to deliver significant advancements in reasoning, agent tasks, and long-context processing.
The performance of Hy3 is considered competitive against domestic and international flagship models that are often 2–5 times larger. It shows particular strength in software development, office productivity, financial modeling, graphic design, and game creation, offering a cost-effective option. The model reportedly outperformed previous iterations like GLM5.1 in blind tests, notably in software development and data processing categories.
