Tencent's Arctic Aurora Studio will initiate its first PC tests for "Gray Zone" in September. The game is a PvEvP shooter built on Unreal Engine 5, featuring a blend of cooperative and competitive gameplay elements.

Tencent's Arctic Aurora Studio is set to launch the initial PC tests for its PvEvP shooter, "Gray Zone" (original title: ใ็ฐๅข่ก่ ใ), in September 2026. The game's Steam page has been made available, though a specific release date remains unannounced. Recent showcases and a new trailer have highlighted the "three-player co-op PvE" mode.
Developed using Unreal Engine 5, "Gray Zone" is described as a PvEvP shooter incorporating light horror elements. The game's narrative unfolds within a mysterious "Gray Zone," where players control "Walkers," cybernetic individuals engaged in a hunt for treasure and combat. The title secured PC and mobile publishing licenses in June 2026.
The game offers both cooperative and competitive modes. In the PvE mode, players team up in groups of three to explore and clear contaminated areas populated by unknown creatures. Missions and environments are designed to be varied, challenging players to confront the unique dangers and entities within the "Gray Zone." The PvP mode consists of two stages: an initial 9-minute "hunt and develop" phase where players gather resources and gear by fighting monsters and other players, followed by a "loot duel" phase to secure valuable rewards.
