Tenda releases U18 V3.0 USB Wi-Fi adapter with Wi-Fi 6 support
Network equipment manufacturer Tenda has launched its new U18 V3.0 USB Wi-Fi adapter, bringing Wi-Fi 6 capabilities and AX1800 speeds to computers via a USB 3.0 interface.
Tenda has officially released the U18 V3.0, a new USB-based wireless network adapter. The device supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard and is categorized as an AX1800 adapter, offering data rates of up to 1201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band.
Designed for plug-and-play functionality, the unit includes pre-stored drivers that enable automatic installation on Windows 10 and 11 systems. It is also compatible with Linux (kernel V3.10 and above) as well as domestic operating systems such as UOS and Kylin. The hardware utilizes a USB 3.0 interface to ensure adequate throughput and measures 93.8mm x 30.2mm x 13.4mm.
Beyond basic connectivity, the adapter serves a dual purpose by allowing users to create a wireless hotspot from a wired desktop connection. The device incorporates OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies to improve efficiency in congested network environments and supports WPA3 encryption for enhanced security.
