TenEx Technologies SandBOND Treatment Extends Pump Life in Horizontal Wells
TenEx Technologies' SandBOND treatment has demonstrated significant extension of pump run life in long-lateral horizontal wells, eliminating sand-related failures.

Energy company TenEx Technologies has released field results showing its SandBOND™ treatment's ability to control sand production and protect downhole pumps in long-lateral horizontal wells without production loss.
Chord Energy, an operator in the Williston Basin, applied a single SandBOND™ treatment to two wells with approximately 10,000-foot laterals. Following the treatment, both pumps have operated for over a year without sand-related failures, maintaining stable performance. The treatment reportedly extended pump run life by 5.5x and 4.7x respectively, with zero production loss.
Miguel Peña, CEO of TenEx Technologies, stated that sand-driven pump failures have been a persistent industry challenge. The SandBOND™ treatment offers a simple, low-complexity solution. The treatment is bullheaded directly into the well without intervention rigs or specialized equipment, requiring only a 24-hour soak time.
SandBOND™ is a non-resin, aluminum-based sand control technology designed to manage proppant production while maintaining well productivity. TenEx Technologies develops material-based chemistries to address critical challenges in the oil and gas industry.
