Tennessee American Water Opens Applications for Firefighting Support Grants

Tennessee American Water is now accepting applications for its 2026 Firefighting Support Grant Program, providing financial assistance to fire departments within its service territories. The program aims to help professional and volunteer fire companies cover costs for essential equipment or training.
Eligible fire departments can apply for grants of up to $1,000 through the company's website tennesseeamwater.com. Applicants must be located within Tennessee American Water's service areas or provide fire protection services to customers within these areas. The application deadline is August 31.
Last year, the utility awarded 17 grants to fire departments across Hamilton, Marion, and Sequatchie counties in Tennessee, as well as in parts of northwest Georgia.
