TENNIIX demonstrates AI tennis robot at Billie Jean King Cup finals

SHENZHEN, China – TENNIIX, an official sponsor of the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup finals, unveiled the ULTRA MAX, an AI-embodied tennis robot, at the event. The robot, a collaboration between Shenzhen Enhanced Power Technology Co., Ltd. and LimX Dynamics, merges advanced artificial intelligence with robotic mobility to explore a new paradigm in sports training.

During a demonstration with Chinese tennis player Wang Qiang, the ULTRA MAX delivered challenging shots, including topspin and high, deep lobs, varying its placement to move her across the court. The intense rallies highlighted the system's capability to produce high-quality shots and maintain consistent pressure, offering demanding practice for a professional player.

The ULTRA MAX integrates the TENNIIX PRO AI training system with LimX Dynamics' TRON 2 mobility platform. TENNIIX contributes perception and decision-making abilities without external sensors. The system tracks ball trajectories, spin, and bounce points, detects player position and movement, and receives training instructions via intelligent voice interaction. Adaptive AI adjusts subsequent throws based on the player's return quality, generating varied patterns including fast serves, short balls, heavy topspin, and slices.

LimX Dynamics provides a hybrid robotic platform (wheeled and legged) enabling multi-directional movement, rapid stops, and stable positioning. Its adjustable frame allows for launch heights between 1.2 and 1.6 meters, combining displacement with height variation for more dynamic practice. Together, these technologies aim to transition from pre-set ball-feeding drills to reactive training that tests players' movement, shot selection, and consistency.

TENNIIX's broader ambition is to make AI's benefits tangible in everyday sports practice.
