Tequila Brand Espolòn Offers Reimbursement for Ride-Share Fares
Tequila brand Espolòn, owned by Campari Group, is reimbursing customers for a portion of their Uber or Lyft ride-share fares. The "Fare Share Program" aims to alleviate costs associated with late-night travel.

Espolòn, a tequila brand under the Campari Group, has launched a marketing initiative to help offset transportation costs for its customers. The "Fare Share Program" offers to reimburse a portion of ride-share expenses, particularly for late-night travel, to encourage consumers to go out.
The promotion allows customers to submit receipts for Uber or Lyft rides taken between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Espolòn will cover half of the fare, up to $25 per ride, for submissions made through November 1. Reimbursements are processed via PayPal or Venmo after receipt verification.
This strategy aligns with a growing trend among beverage brands to use receipt-based incentives. Similar campaigns have been run by Stella Artois, which offered reimbursement for patrons visiting bars during specific hours, and Budweiser, which provided gift cards for beer purchases.
By covering part of the transportation costs, Espolòn aims to reduce a potential barrier for consumers planning nights out, thereby increasing brand visibility and engagement within its target demographic.
