Tequila Partida Releases Limited Edition Single Barrel Añejo

Tequila Partida, in collaboration with spirits retailer Southern Spirits, has launched a limited edition Partida Roble Fino Single Barrel Añejo. A total of 138 bottles have been produced for this exclusive release, which becomes available on October 2, 2026, priced at $199.99.

The añejo tequila has undergone a 32-month aging process. It was initially matured for 26 months in American oak barrels that previously held Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey. Following this, the tequila received a six-month finishing period in a Sherry Single Malt cask, which had previously contained Oloroso Sherry and Scotch Whisky. The spirit is bottled directly from a single barrel at 54.5% ABV (109 proof).

Maestro Tequilero José Valdez Reynoso stated that the expression is the result of over two decades of crafting Tequila Partida, combined with careful cask selection and precise determination of maturation time. He noted that the tequila retains its clean agave character and minerality while gaining depth and complexity from the two distinct oak maturation stages.

The limited edition is set to launch exclusively at Southern Spirits in Indian Land, South Carolina. The retailer has promoted itself as one of the world's top liquor stores. Bottles will also be available for online purchase, though customers outside South Carolina must travel to the state to make their purchase in-store.
