Digital infrastructure company TeraWulf announced on July 6 that it has signed a 20-year lease agreement with AI startup Anthropic. The deal is expected to generate approximately $19 billion in revenue for TeraWulf over the life of the contract.

TeraWulf will construct a dedicated AI data center campus for Anthropic at its Justified Data site in Hawesville, Kentucky. The campus will accommodate approximately 401 MW of critical IT load and will be developed in phases. Initial operations are anticipated to begin in late 2027, with full capacity reached by early 2028.

In a separate announcement, TeraWulf also stated it is selling its entire 50.1% stake in a joint venture in Abernathy, Texas, to partner Fluidstack. This joint venture, established in 2025, was intended to build an AI data center campus with a 168 MW critical IT load.

The agreement highlights the increasing demand for specialized data center infrastructure to support artificial intelligence development and operations.
