TerraPay, a global money movement company, and Alipay+, Ant International's unified wallet gateway, announced a strategic partnership on Tuesday connecting their payment networks. This collaboration is set to enable seamless cross-border QR payment transfers for digital wallets, significantly enhancing global payment interoperability.
The partnership allows Alipay+ users, which is Ant International's global mobile payment solution aggregating multiple popular payment methods and digital wallets, to leverage TerraPay's infrastructure for payments worldwide. TerraPay's network aims to connect disparate payment solutions for faster and more efficient transactions.
"This partnership with Alipay+ is a critical step in our mission to build a more inclusive and accessible global payment infrastructure," said Ambarish Malpani, CEO of TerraPay, in a statement. "Together, we will offer users a simpler and more cost-effective experience for cross-border payments."
The integration intends to make international payments more accessible for both consumers and businesses by reducing friction in existing payment systems.
