TESCO Metering adds voltage synthesizer to portable meter testing platform

BRISTOL, Pa. – TESCO Metering has expanded its Portable Meter Testing Platform with the introduction of the Model 6440 Three-Phase Voltage Synthesizer. The device is designed to offer electric utilities a flexible and modular solution for revenue meter commissioning, site verification, and field diagnostics.

The Model 6440 integrates with the existing TESCO 6330 Meter Site Analyzer to deliver laboratory-grade testing capabilities in a portable, field-ready format. This platform separates voltage generation from measurement and analysis, allowing technicians to configure equipment without the bulk and complexity of traditional integrated testing systems.

"Utilities continue to invest in smarter grids and more sophisticated metering technologies," said Tom Lawton, President and CEO of TESCO Metering. "The Model 6440 provides technicians with a highly accurate, portable three-phase voltage source that integrates seamlessly with the 6330 Meter Site Analyzer. Together, they offer a scalable platform for commissioning and maintaining today's revenue metering systems."

The Model 6440 generates programmable three-phase voltage outputs from 69 to 480 VAC, supports 50 Hz and 60 Hz systems, and delivers 100 VA per phase. Built for demanding utility environments, the unit operates from a standard 120 VAC power source, offering laboratory-grade performance in a portable package. The platform's modular architecture supports a range of field applications, including meter commissioning, accuracy testing, and troubleshooting.
