Tesla has announced that its autonomous Cybertruck vehicle tour is expanding to more cities across China. The ongoing tour provides the public with an opportunity to experience the company's self-driving technology firsthand.
Recent additions to the tour schedule include Shenzhen (October 16-25), Ningbo (October 22-27), and Chengdu (October 30-November 8). The vehicle has previously been showcased in cities such as Suzhou, with further exhibitions planned for Shanghai in late October.
The Cybertruck was initially unveiled as a concept in October 2024, with the first production unit rolling off the assembly line in February 2026. Tesla states that its manufacturing process utilizes parallel production of sub-assemblies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
This expansion in China follows the introduction of paid passenger services using Tesla's autonomous Cybercab model in Texas. CEO Elon Musk has indicated that similar autonomous ride services may become available in European cities in the near future.
