Tesla to Cease Cybertruck Production by 2027
Tesla will end production of its Cybertruck in mid-2027 to reallocate manufacturing capacity toward other vehicle projects.

Tesla has confirmed that it will cease production of the Cybertruck by the middle of 2027. The move marks the end of a vehicle program that debuted in 2019 with the goal of establishing the company within the competitive American pickup truck market.
Unveiled with a polarizing angular design and a stainless steel monocoque chassis, the Cybertruck was originally marketed with an entry price target of under $40,000. However, the vehicle faced significant manufacturing hurdles and failed to achieve the widespread adoption Tesla initially projected.
The discontinuation of the model is intended to free up manufacturing floor space within Tesla’s production facilities. The company expects to reallocate these resources toward the production of other models, specifically the upcoming Cybercab, as it shifts its strategic focus.
