Tesla announced that its Cybercab, a fully autonomous electric vehicle, will be showcased in China throughout September. This exhibition offers the public an opportunity for a close look at the driverless vehicle.

The Cybercab will be on display at the Hua Mao Tesla Experience Store in Beijing from September 17th to 27th, and at Xingye Taikoo Hui in Shanghai from September 17th to 21st. The vehicle was first revealed as a concept during Tesla's "We, Robot" event in October 2024.

Production of the Cybercab commenced with the first units rolling off the line at Tesla's Gigafactory in Texas in February 2026, followed by official mass production in April. The company highlighted a parallel production strategy for sub-assemblies to enhance efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.

While the Cybercab is already operating on a paid passenger service basis in Texas, CEO Elon Musk has indicated that similar autonomous ride services may soon be available in European cities.
