Semiconductor manufacturer Texas Instruments released its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, reporting significant growth in both revenue and profitability.
The company's net income attributable to the parent company reached $1.98 billion, marking a 53% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. Revenue for the second fiscal quarter stood at $5.46 billion, up 23% from the prior year, exceeding the company's own guidance.
Both of the company's core segments, analog and embedded processing, demonstrated strong performance. Analog chip revenue increased by 26% to $4.37 billion, while embedded processing revenue grew by 16% to $788 million. Profitability saw a substantial boost, with net income up by 53%.
Looking ahead, Texas Instruments forecasts revenue for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026 to be in the range of $5.65 billion to $6.15 billion. The company also continued its strategy of returning capital to shareholders, distributing $5.11 billion in dividends and $707 million in share repurchases during the second fiscal quarter.
