TF1 Group Reports Audience Growth and Increased Digital Consumption for 2021
French media group TF1 Group announced its 2021 annual audience figures, showing growth in consumption across both linear television and its digital platforms like MYTF1.

French media conglomerate TF1 Group announced its 2021 annual audience figures on Monday, indicating increased viewership and engagement across its television channels and digital platforms. The group reached an average of 51 million viewers weekly, a rise of 700,000 compared to the previous year. Audience share saw significant gains, particularly among younger demographics and the 25-49 age group, reaching multi-year highs.
Consumption on the MYTF1 digital platform also experienced substantial growth, with video views increasing by 15% year-over-year to a record 2.7 billion. The company highlighted its focus on content creation and digital transformation to adapt to evolving viewing habits. Gilles Pélisson, Chairman and CEO of TF1 Group, described the performance as "remarkable," emphasizing the group's aim to be "at the heart of French daily life with an event-driven, popular, and demanding offering."
The flagship TF1 channel reaffirmed its leading position in France, improving its performance across all target demographics. The channel broadcast the year's most-watched program, the Euro football match between France and Switzerland, and also saw success in news, entertainment, and French fiction, including the popular series HPI.
Other TF1 Group channels, including news channel LCI and entertainment channel TMC, also reported strong results. TMC consolidated its position as a leading TNT channel within specific demographics, while TFX reinforced its role as a provider of entertainment targeted towards women. TF1 Séries Films also achieved a historic record in audience share.
