TF1 Group reports revenue and profit growth for 2017
Bouygues-owned TF1 Group posted a 3.0 percent increase in annual revenue to 2.12 billion euros for the 2017 fiscal year.
TF1 Group recorded total revenue of 2.12 billion euros for 2017, a 3.0 percent rise compared to the previous year. Current operating profit reached 185.3 million euros, up from 129.4 million euros in 2016. This growth was largely attributed to a reduction in programming costs and the successful implementation of internal cost-saving initiatives.
Advertising revenue for the period rose by 2.1 percent to 1.56 billion euros, while revenue from non-advertising activities grew by 5.7 percent. As a result, the group's current operating margin increased by 2.4 percentage points to 8.7 percent.
Net profit attributable to the group reached 136.1 million euros, up from 41.7 million euros in 2016. The final figure benefited from asset divestments, including the sale of interests in Groupe AB and Teads, as well as one-off tax adjustments.
