Thai Virtual Bank Clicx Selects Thought Machine for Core Banking System
Thai digital banking venture Clicx has announced the selection of London-based provider Thought Machine to power its core banking operations.

Backed by Krungthai Bank, telecom operator Advanced Info Service (AIS), and PTT Oil and Retail Business (OR), Clicx confirmed on November 3 that it has adopted the Vault Core system. The platform will serve as the technical backbone for the startup, which is one of the ventures permitted to operate under the Bank of Thailand's regulatory framework.
Following the central bank's announcement of successful applicants in June 2025, Clicx stated it is the first of the new entrants to reach a state of operational readiness. The bank intends to focus on credit assessment for individuals and small businesses that have historically lacked access to traditional banking, such as freelancers and daily earners.
The service utilizes data aggregated from mobile, retail, and payment channels to facilitate its lending operations. Clicx is required to ensure that its data processing practices adhere strictly to Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act, which mandates specific protocols regarding consent, data access, and user privacy rights.
By leveraging the cloud-native capabilities of its new core system, Clicx aims to fulfill the central bank's criteria for agility and compliance as it prepares to launch its full suite of services.
