Furthermore, the cooling processes in data centers require substantial water resources and generate considerable heat. Inadequate regulation could increase fire risks and impact local water supplies, agriculture, and ecosystems. The initiative also aims to address pollution concerns linked to data centers globally.
According to the government, a policy framework is necessary that simultaneously promotes investment and enforces strict oversight.
