The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Opens 130th Cafe in Kuwait

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) and its local partner Al-Ghunaim Trading Co. have celebrated the opening of their 130th cafe in Kuwait. This expansion across a nationwide network marks over two decades of successful collaboration and significant growth in a market of approximately five million people.

The Kuwaiti operation currently employs over 1,135 individuals across its cafes, operational units, and support functions. Al-Ghunaim Trading Co. has established a substantial market presence since the debut of the first CBTL cafe in Salmiya on December 16, 2004. The company has transformed from a single cafe into an established network, providing high-quality coffee and tea while fostering meaningful daily experiences for customers.

"Reaching this milestone is a significant achievement for Al-Ghunaim Trading Co., but more importantly, it symbolizes the trust of our customers and the dedication of our employees who have built this business for over two decades," stated Mishary Al-Ghunaim, CEO of Al-Ghunaim Trading Co. Al-Ghunaim Trading Co. has also contributed to its communities, donating $1 million USD to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund in 2026.
