New York-based staffing firm The Custom Group of Companies has acquired regional agencies in Pennsylvania and New York to expand its professional and healthcare recruitment footprint.
The Custom Group of Companies has finalized the acquisition of two regional staffing firms: Westchester County-based Classic Westchester and Philadelphia-based The Bettinger Co., Inc. The move allows the New York-headquartered company to broaden its presence in the Northeast corridor.
The Bettinger Co. brings specialized expertise in non-clinical hospital staffing in the Philadelphia market, while Classic Westchester maintains a client base in New York state. By absorbing these firms, The Custom Group intends to integrate its existing healthcare and IT staffing infrastructure with the established local networks of both acquired agencies.
According to COO Ed Rasmussen, the acquisitions are intended to provide existing clients of the acquired firms with expanded service offerings, specifically integrating clinical staffing capabilities alongside current non-clinical operations.
Founded in 1985, The Custom Group of Companies continues its expansion strategy to consolidate regional talent acquisition services under its national brand.
