The Game Awards 2026 Ceremony Set for December 11 Broadcast

The Game Awards (TGA) 2026 ceremony is scheduled to be held in Los Angeles on December 10th. For viewers in China, the broadcast will commence on December 11th at 1:30 AM Beijing time and is expected to last approximately three hours.

Specific award categories and the list of nominated games for the 2026 TGA have not yet been announced. The complete list of nominations is anticipated to be revealed by the end of November. For reference, the 2025 TGA featured 29 award categories.

The selection period primarily covers games released from late November 2025 through the eligibility cutoff for 2026. Consequently, Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6), slated for release on November 19, 2026, is expected to be eligible for nomination. However, its final nomination status will depend on the official announcement.

Following the unveiling of the nominations, a public player vote will commence. Historically, TGA's voting structure has given 90% weight to a professional jury's decision, with global player votes accounting for only 10%. This weighting has drawn criticism in the past, and the organizers have yet to confirm whether the voting rules will be adjusted for the 2026 awards.
