The Weather Channel Increases Streaming App Subscription Price Up To 67%
The Weather Channel is raising prices for its smart TV streaming app. Monthly and annual subscription costs will increase significantly.

The Weather Channel has increased the price of its streaming subscription for its dedicated smart TV app by up to 66.7 percent. The price hike affects users on platforms including Android TV, Fire TV, Roku, and Samsung TVs.
Previously, the streaming service cost $3 per month or $30 annually. According to the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine, these prices were valid as of April 2026. The subscription is now priced at $5 per month or $50 per year, as first reported by Cord Cutters News.
The app, launched in May 2022, provides livestreaming of The Weather Channel's broadcast network, in addition to on-demand shows, local forecasts, maps, and radar. It allowed viewers to access the channel's content without a traditional cable or satellite TV subscription.
This price adjustment comes as the streaming landscape continues to evolve, with many services reassessing their subscription models and pricing strategies.
