CD Projekt Red launched the highly anticipated Complete Edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on December 14, featuring significant graphical and gameplay enhancements. The game is now available on new platforms, with a free upgrade offered to owners of the original title.
The remaster introduces a suite of visual improvements, including enhanced textures, ray tracing-enabled lighting, and DirectX 12 support. New gameplay mechanics have also been implemented, such as a revamped skill system that resets previously acquired points, and the ability to transmog gear without altering its stats.
Gameplay enhancements include optimized enemy AI, new animations for Geralt and his horse Roach, and a refined user interface for smoother map navigation and quest tracking. A fully overhauled photo mode is also part of the update.
Accessibility has also been a focus, with the introduction of the "Bard's Tale" preset. This feature simplifies game mechanics and reduces cognitive load, making the experience more accessible for players prone to fatigue or concentration issues. The update is available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
