The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition Released for Nintendo Switch 2
The game receives a significant upgrade from its previous iteration with enhanced graphics and higher frame rates.
CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition has now been released for the Nintendo Switch 2, bringing notable graphical improvements over the original Switch version.
The update offers a substantial leap in the game's visual presentation. Enhancements to textures and detail are particularly evident, addressing the somewhat reduced quality seen in the original release. Character models, vegetation, and shadows have undergone extensive remakes, bringing the Switch 2 version closer visually to its counterparts on more powerful consoles.
Technically, the game now supports up to 1080p resolution in docked mode and 720p in handheld mode. In terms of frame rates, the Nintendo Switch 2 can achieve up to 40 FPS, a step up from the original Switch's stable 30 FPS.
The release demonstrates CD Projekt Red's effort to bring complex titles to Nintendo's platform. While the initial Switch port was a technical feat, the Switch 2 version promises a more visually refined and smoother gameplay experience.
