The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition Drops Windows 10 Support

CD Projekt RED has announced the discontinuation of official support for Windows 10 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition. The developer simultaneously released an updated list of PC system requirements, which now mandate Windows 11.

The new requirements apply to the remastered version of the game, featuring enhancements in graphics and performance. While the game might still function on Windows 10, CD Projekt RED cannot guarantee compatibility or performance on the older operating system.

Basic system requirements for the game range from minimum settings at 1080p resolution and 30 FPS, to ultra settings demanding 1440p resolution and 60 FPS. For instance, the recommended CPU for ultra settings is an Intel Core i7-13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, paired with a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or equivalent graphics card.

Settings that utilize ray tracing, in particular, require substantially more powerful hardware. The path tracing mode, for example, necessitates a 2160p resolution and 60 FPS, recommending an Intel Core i9-13900K or AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor and a GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card.
