Think Together Expands Central Coast Operations with Santa Maria-Bonita School District
Think Together will launch afterschool and expanded learning programs at 13 elementary schools within the Santa Maria-Bonita School District for the 2026-2027 school year. Approximately 100 new jobs will be created.

Think Together, a nonprofit provider of expanded learning services, has announced a partnership with the Santa Maria-Bonita School District set to begin in the 2026-2027 school year. This collaboration will introduce afterschool programming at 13 elementary school sites, aiming to create approximately 100 new full- and part-time education roles.
The programs are designed to offer students a safe and engaging environment beyond school hours, incorporating academic support, enrichment opportunities, physical activities, and youth development. These services will be provided at no cost to families.
Katy Wallace, Think Together's Director of District Partnerships, expressed enthusiasm for the new collaboration. "Our goal is to build strong relationships with students, families, school staff, and community members," Wallace stated. She emphasized that the programs will reflect the district's vision and address the specific needs of students in Santa Maria.
Dr. Darren McDuffie, Superintendent of Santa Maria-Bonita School District, affirmed the district's commitment to providing enriching opportunities. "We look forward to working alongside Think Together to expand access to engaging afterschool experiences that benefit our students and families," he said.
Think Together has been operating in California for over 25 years and continues to expand its reach. In recent years, the organization has partnered with numerous school districts across the state.
