Thélios Acquires French Eyewear Brand Vuarnet
LVMH-owned Thélios has acquired the renowned French eyewear brand Vuarnet from NEO Investment Partners. This marks Thélios' first brand acquisition.

LVMH's eyewear company, Thélios, announced in April 2023 the acquisition of Vuarnet, a well-known French brand specializing in high-end outdoor sunglasses, from NEO Investment Partners. This acquisition represents Thélios' first proprietary brand purchase and is a significant step in expanding its presence in the luxury eyewear market.
Vuarnet, with over 60 years of heritage and pioneering mineral lens manufacturing, aligns with Thélios' portfolio of luxury Maisons. The brand blends outdoor lifestyle with fashion, and Thélios aims to restore its former prestige by enhancing product quality and innovation.
Founded in 1957 by optician Roger Pouilloux and French ski champion Jean Vuarnet, Vuarnet has established itself through craftsmanship, performance, and timeless style. The brand has been popular among outdoor enthusiasts and featured in several films. Its manufacturing site in Meaux is certified as a "Living Heritage Company" (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) by the French government.
The acquisition will provide Vuarnet access to Thélios' resources, including research and development capabilities and global distribution networks, supporting the brand's growth and international expansion. Thélios CEO Alessandro Zanardo expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, highlighting Vuarnet's unique history and expertise in mineral lenses.
