Thomas Schachner to lead LIXIL and GROHE in Europe
Dr. Thomas Schachner has been appointed to lead LIXIL's European business and the GROHE brand in Europe, effective April 1, 2025. He succeeds Bijoy Mohan in the role.
LIXIL Corporation announced the appointment of Dr. Thomas Schachner as Leader LIXIL Europe, effective April 1, 2025. Schachner will also head the GROHE brand in the region, succeeding Bijoy Mohan who has held the interim leadership since August 2023. Mohan will now fully focus on his role as Leader LIXIL International.
Schachner brings 15 years of experience within the company to the role. He has previously held various positions, including leadership for LIXIL's business in Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. Most recently, he served as Leader Supply Chain Management for the EMENA region. His appointment comes as the company seeks to build on recent growth.
During his interim leadership, Bijoy Mohan successfully restructured the regional business. A refined approach to target groups and a differentiated offering under the GROHE brand have reportedly returned the region to a growth trajectory despite a challenging market environment. Mohan will continue to lead LIXIL International.
