Three Wind Projects to Add 250 MW Capacity in Turkey
FMO and DEG are supporting three new wind power plants in Turkey's Muğla province with a combined $180 million financing package. The projects are expected to add 250 MW of capacity and generate over 630 GWh of clean electricity annually.

Enerjisa Üretim is expanding its wind power capacity in Turkey with three new wind farms set to add a combined 250 megawatts (MW) of clean energy. The Dutch development bank FMO and German development finance institution DEG are providing a $180 million financing package to support the projects in Muğla province.
FMO is committing a $100 million loan, with DEG contributing $80 million. The wind farms, named Gaia (83 MW), Falp (75 MW), and Artuna (92 MW), are part of Enerjisa Üretim's strategy to increase renewable energy generation. Enerjisa Üretim is jointly owned by Sabancı Holding and E.ON.
The projects are scheduled to become operational in 2026. They are projected to generate approximately 630 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean electricity annually by 2027 and avoid around 221,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year. The financing includes an eight-year tenor, addressing a need for long-term hard currency funding, and is expected to attract further capital up to $25 million from institutional investors.
These developments align with Turkey's renewable energy targets, aiming to bolster energy security and facilitate the transition to a lower-carbon energy system. Enerjisa Üretim plans to increase the share of domestic and renewable sources in its installed capacity to 70% by 2030.
