TI-Atlas 2026: Electronic Patient Record and Medication Plan Offer Tangible Benefits for Pharmacies
The TI-Atlas 2026 study indicates that the electronic patient record (ePA) has become established, speeding up patient information access for pharmacies. The introduction of electronic medication plans is expected to significantly improve data completeness.

The TI-Atlas 2026 study reveals that the electronic patient record (ePA) is improving the availability of patient information in pharmacies in Germany. According to the survey, approximately two-thirds of healthcare facilities and pharmacies report faster access to patient data due to the ePA.
Seventeen percent of surveyed pharmacies use the ePA on a regular basis. Nearly all pharmacies utilizing the ePA report having identified potential patient risks based on medication lists. Pharmacy satisfaction with the ePA increased by nearly 20 percent compared to the previous year, reaching 84 percent.
The introduction of the electronic medication plan (eMP) in 2026 is anticipated to significantly enhance the completeness and timeliness of medication information, mirroring expectations in doctor's offices and nursing homes. This development could further boost ePA adoption within pharmacies.
