Tillamook Ice Cream Partners with Tefi Pessoa for NYC Event

Tillamook Ice Cream, in collaboration with media personality Tefi Pessoa, is hosting a promotional event called "The Real Scoop Newsstand" at Astor Place in New York City's East Village through July 25. The event aims to educate consumers about discerning real ice cream from other frozen dairy desserts while distributing free Tillamook Ice Cream.

A lottery is also being held at the event, offering attendees the chance to win a year's supply of Tillamook Ice Cream. Pessoa stated that she joined forces with Tillamook after learning that nearly half of Americans have mistakenly purchased a frozen dairy dessert believing it to be true ice cream. "With me, what you see is what you get — but that's not always the case in the freezer aisle," Pessoa commented.

The pop-up also features a podcast studio where visitors can record their own "real scoops." In addition to the in-person sampling and contest, Tillamook launched an online sweepstakes on July 23, allowing consumers nationwide to enter for a chance to win free ice cream for a year via the company's website.

Tillamook County Creamery Association, founded in 1909, is a farmer-owned cooperative known for its cheese, ice cream, butter, and other dairy products. The company emphasizes quality ingredients and traditional production methods.
