Timken raises 2026 profit outlook after third-quarter earnings growth

The Timken Company posted a 4.7 percent increase in third-quarter 2026 revenue, reaching $1.21 billion compared to the same period last year. Adjusted earnings per share rose to $1.65 from $1.37, supported by volume growth, strategic acquisitions, and price adjustments.

The company’s Industrial Motion segment saw significant growth, while its Engineered Bearings business maintained steady performance. Overall, the company’s adjusted EBITDA margin reached 18.5 percent, bolstered by a $12.4 million tariff refund. Operating cash flow improved to $256 million, providing the company with strong liquidity to fund shareholder returns, which totaled $88.7 million in dividends and buybacks during the quarter.

CEO Lucian Boldea stated that the ongoing execution of the company’s strategic initiatives provides confidence in the current outlook. As of the end of the third quarter, Timken finalized the divestiture of its belts business to Gates Industrial Corporation, a move designed to streamline operations and enhance segment margins.

Reflecting this positive momentum, Timken raised its 2026 full-year earnings guidance. The company now anticipates adjusted earnings per share in the range of $6.35 to $6.50, with total revenue for the year expected to grow by approximately 5.5 percent.
